You might be a redneck...

...if you spent the morning picking blueberries out in a field off an unmarked gravel road...

...and got so hot in the blazing sun and bathtub-like humidity....

...that you got inspired to tell your best buddy and fellow blueberry picker
about a little watering hole you knew of...

...and the two of you decided that the thing to do would be to go jump in it and cool off...
...after stopping by a little BBQ stand to get your lunch....

...and then walking through a hayfield to get to your destination...

...of a crick.

("What is the difference between a 'crick' and a 'creek'?," you may ask...
A crick has cows in it at some point upstream from you.... :o/ )

So you come to the crick with a swimming hole....and a tiny waterfall...and a rope swing and tree house...

...and you, your best buddy, and your dog all go for a swim,
right there in the crick.

Yep, with cows upstream.

You might be....
maybe.

...........

And, in other news, I'd like to invite you to visit this lovely blog written by Jenni C, a friend I've made in this amazing world of the blogosphere. I was honored to be her first artist interviewee there today....

So please stop in to check out the interview, and be sure to browse around through her archives too - she is a very talented artist herself, and she has some beautiful and fascinating photographs of her native land of South Africa, as well as tutorials, craft ideas, spiritual encouragement, and pictures of her adorable kids...

Plus, she's just great.
I know you'll like her.... :o)

Thanks again for having me, Jenni....
and, the rest of you, go check it out!

..............

I hope you're having a lovely day....
Go jump in a crick or something.
It's lovely, really,
whether you're a redneck or not.
;o)
