{Work} A Lesson from Little Critters

There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:
The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;
The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;
The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;
The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces.

- Proverbs 30:24-28

So, what can we learn about work from these wise little things?

- Plan ahead, like the ants who store up food during the summer months.

- Build on a solid foundation, and create a safety net for yourself, like the conies.

- Be organized and self-motivated, like the locusts (This is really important if you're self-employed and don't have a "boss" telling you what to do!).

- Aim high and work hard, like the spiders.

Hmm... good advice. Smart little creatures, aren't they?

And now, it's time for me to get back to work! ;o)

    1. I know - they are truly amazing. My parents used to have a book about character qualities based on the behavior of different animals - I think it was called _Character Sketches_. It's really amazing how much we can learn from them... God is amazing. :o)
