Hello, I'm Beth Stone -
welcome to my little corner of the world.

Feel free to look around, get comfy, and make yourself at home... I'm so happy you're here!

A little about me:

I was blessed to grow up in a wonderful family in the mountains of East Tennessee. As a child, I generally either had a paintbrush in my hand or my nose in a book - and things really haven't changed much since.

I graduated from Milligan College with a BA in English in 2003 and shortly thereafter married my best friend, Joshua Stone. Life has taken us from east Tennessee, to southern Spain, and now back to east Tennessee again. We have two children, ages 4 and 1, and a little four-legged friend too.

I am a sinner, saved by grace through the blood of Jesus. If there is anything good in me, my work, or this blog, it's because of Him.

A little about my business:

Several years ago I received a call from a family friend who was looking for someone to paint a mural in her son's room. At the time, I had absolutely no experience painting murals...so naturally, when she asked if I would be able to do it for her, I said, "Of course I can!" Fortunately for both of us, the mural was a success, and I had my first "professional" job in my portfolio.

Over the next few months and years, I slowly began the process of building a small business. I talked to other artists who were doing what I wanted to be doing. I started a blog, opened an online shop, taught art lessons, took any mural jobs or commissions that I could get, read books on Indie art and crafts businesses, and began building my portfolio of original work.

I figured out what I wanted to do as part of my business, and - just as importantly - what I didn't want to do. My first sales were to family and friends... and then, eventually - oh happy day!- I made my first online sale to a complete stranger.

Today, my business features my original artwork, custom murals, prints, jewelry, and other handmade items which I offer both locally and globally in my online Etsy Shop.

A little about this blog:

If you came to my studio in person, you'd probably see art or craft projects in progress; prints, jewelry, and other handmade goodness from my Etsy Shop; or sketches for my next mural. If you sat down and stayed a while, I'd probably talk to you about books I'm reading; the Christian life and theology; ideas for organizing or decorating your home; travel; what it's like to run a small business; or how we, as Christians, should respond to the culture around us.
That's pretty much what you'll find here on the blog. You'll find posts about:
