Above you'll see my little studio with its latest addition, my print cabinet! A friend's frame shop was closing down, and he gave me a great deal on this piece of furniture....
Here's what it looked like before:
And here's what it looks like now after downsizing, sanding, paint, and new hardware:
I'm in love. That's all.
Hope you're having a lovely week...

ReplyDeleteThanks, Jennifer! I love the hardware too - it just makes the cabinet... And yes, it's already coming in very handy!
DeleteThank you all! Yes, I am really excited about it - it's perfect for storing all of my papers, mats, clear bags, etc.
ReplyDeleteoh wow , an artists dream to have a place to keep paper flat organized and out of harms way...you did a great job tweaking it...
ReplyDeleteYes - it's worked out perfectly for my watercolor papers, clear bags, etc. I'm really thankful to have found it for such a great deal.... Thank you!
DeleteWhat a sweet studio! I love the chair. I have one like it, vintage editor's chair from 1910, a score from the dump! And the piece where you can store your papers, perfect for storage! I never had the space to store mine flat, nor have them separated and organized like yours. You did very well to snap up the furniture.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elizabeth! It's definitely my favorite little room in our house. :o) I love the chair too - that was another refinishing project. My brother found it at a flea market, and I repainted it to go with my desk. I also have another one very similar that came from the factory where my Papaw used to work, which is fun to have. You were lucky to score a free one from the dump! One man's trash is another man's treasure, I suppose. :o) And yes, I'm really glad to have the cabinet where I can store things flat - that was becoming a huge problem with all of my packaging supplies for my prints - everything was getting wrinkled and crunched up because I was storing everything upright in a Rubbermaid bin (eek!). So this is working out perfectly.... Thanks for stopping by!
